The victory gave India the series 3-2. West Indies won the first match by nine wickets at Mumbai, the home team rebounded with a 10-run victory at Vadodara, where the Windies Women also won the third match by three wickets, before the Indians won the penultimate match by 10 runs in Rajkot.
Choosing to field, Windies Women had India Women reeling on 88-6 in the 30th over, but Amita Sharma hit the top score of 47 from 58 balls to help the home team reach a competitive 188-9 off their 50 overs.
West Indies Women suffered a huge setback at the start of their chase, when their leading batter Stafanie Taylor was leg-before to Jhulan Goswami, the India captain, for two in the third over.
The two teams will now contest three Twenty20 Internationals on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at Ahmedabad.
