BASSETERRE, (Traffic Department) March 21, 2012. As a positive response to complaints from members of the public and Police Officers, about difficulties reading the current St. Kitts-Nevis Driver’s license due to its color scheme and font size, the Licensing Authority has approved a color change to the license. The new license is light blue in color and Credit-card styled with a

holographic overlay at the front. The holder’s digital photo and signature appears on the left while the back lists classes of license, Licensing Authority signature and a bar code.
The license has the following validation features:
i. A faint multicolored coat of arms in white silhouette of St. Kitts with a green border;
ii. Ghost image of holder in white silhouette of Nevis;
iii. Holographic overlay includes a globe with rings around it that contain in small print the word, “SECURE” translated into multiple languages;
iv. Digital signature of Licensing Authority at bottom right on back.
The previous driver’s license remains valid and will be gradually phased out as they expire or replaced by holder.
