Christmas Ferry Schedule Announced

BRADES, Montserrat – The Montserrat Tourist Board has announced that “Travellers coming to Montserrat during the Christmas season will benefit from an extended ferry service to the island from Antigua.”

BRADES, Montserrat – After being restricted to the north of the island for over a year, residents on Montserrat and visitors to the island, now have daytime access to Zone C, the area of the island which includes Cork Hill, Weekes, Richmond Hill, Delvins and Foxes Bay.  The change in the hazard level means that people can have access to the area from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents on island hailed the news with joy, as it will allow them to check their property or just to go and see what the area beyond Belham looks like.

OLVESTON, Montserrat - The first anniversary of the death of Alphonsos ‘Arrow’ Cassel MBE, has been commemorated by an issue of stamps by the Montserrat Philatelic Philatelic Bureau Ltd. The stamps are in the denomination of $2.25 and $2.50. Also available are sheetlets and first day covers (FDC).

RFA Wave Ruler Conduct Disaster Exercises

BRADES, Montserrat – The RFA Wave Ruler, a fast fleet tanker with a crew of 74 British Royal Fleet Auxiliary seafarers and 33 Royal Navy personnel including a flight squadron is presently on its seventh visit to Montserrat, and the second this year. They provide support to the UK Overseas territories and strengthen the UK Government’s commitment in the region.
