PAM Central Basseterre Group To Host Townhall Meeting
Basseterre, St.Kitts (October 23rd 2012) – The Central Basseterre PAM Constituency Group have finalized arrangements for the hosting of their leg of the PAM town hall meeting series. The meeting is set for Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall formally the Old Boys’ School.

Newtown, St. Kitts (October 3rd 2012) – A large cross section of the East Basseterre Community packed the Newtown Community Center for the first in a series of town hall meetings organized by the People’s Action Movement (PAM) and newly-elected leader the Hon Shawn K Richards.
Shawn Richards’s victory: Democracy at work
It was refreshing to see democratic principles adhered to by the People’s Action Movement (PAM) leaders, members and supporters at the party's Special Caucus over the weekend. The procedure used to determine who leads the party was democratic. Hamilton’s response to Richards’s victory was mature, and his promise to work closely with Richards showed even more democracy.
Hon. Shawn Richards elected new leader of People’s Action Movement
BREAKING NEWS:
In a close vote, the Honourable Shawn Richards has been elected as the new Leader of the People's Action Movement at the party's Special Caucus held today. Votes were cast by delegates from each constituency, plus delegates from the PAM Women's Group and the Young Pamites.
According to the party Constitution, the results of the election must be ratified at next week's Special Convention to become official.
Richards’ was immediately sent congratulatory remarks from former Kittitian Diplomat Dr Irvin Sweeney. Dr Sweeney said “ Hon SHAWN RICHARDS: A VISION OF PEACE AND PROSPERITY
The US Based former diplomat continued , “The new leader is already expressing his commitment to the people of the nation to work to restore the days of peace and prosperity in the Federation of St.Kitts and Nevis.
Although he acknowledges that it will be a difficult challenge after the disaster of the Douglas regime, he has EXPRESSED HIS VISION of leading a decent and transparent Government which will awaken the creative genius of our people to produce an economy similar to what existed under the Rt Hon Dr Sir Kennedy Simmonds. He is determined to ensure that once again St.Kitts and Nevis will be the freest nation in the world with an economy second to none.

Basseterre, St. Kitts (WINN): As the People’s Action Movement (PAM) Special Caucus approaches on September 23 to elect a successor to outgoing leader Mr. Lindsay Grant, one of the party’s deputy leaders is talking about his chances to lead the PAM. Mr. Eugene Hamilton, believes his past managerial experience in the private sector will make him a prime candidate to take over from Mr. Grant when he demits office on September 30th.
PAM’s Byron and Earl lose appeal in High Court

KITTS, JULY 27TH 2012 (CUOPM) – High Court Judge His Lordship Mr. Justice Errol Thomas ruled Friday that Deputy Chairman of the People’s Action Movement (PAM), lawyer, Mr. Jonel Powell, failed to file an Appeal challenging a decision of Registration Officer Mr. Wingrove Archibald within the seven days as required by law.
Grant resigns as PAM's leader after 12 years
BASSETERRE, ST.KITTS: During a press conference held on Tuesday morning at the Ocean Terrace Inn, leader of the PAM opposition party, Lindsay Grant, announced that he has resigned as leader of the party. The decision will take effect in two months time.
PAM Annual East Basseterre Luncheon Draws Hundreds
The People’s Action Movement’s East Basseterre Group organized Father’s Day Luncheon has been deemed a massive success. This according to the party’s East Basseterre Activities and Events Chairperson Natasha ‘Shanny” Grey.
