It was refreshing to see democratic principles adhered to by the People’s Action Movement (PAM) leaders, members and supporters at the party's Special Caucus over the weekend. The procedure used to determine who leads the party was democratic. Hamilton’s response to Richards’s victory was mature, and his promise to work closely with Richards showed even more democracy.
In a close vote, the Honourable Shawn Richards has been elected as the new Leader of the People's Action Movement at the party's Special Caucus held today. Votes were cast by delegates from each constituency, plus delegates from the PAM Women's Group and the Young Pamites.
