Brades, MONTSERRAT (July 18, 2012) - July 18 1995 is a date no Montserratian or resident of Montserrat at that time will ever forget.  It is the day when the Soufriere Hills Volcano sprung to life.

BRADES, Montserrat - Residents on Montserrat were on Friday 23rd March  awakened with the news that following two volcano tectonic (VT) earthquake swarms one on Thursday  22 and the other in the early hours of Friday  23rd  each involving approximately fifty (50) earthquakes events,  there was increased seismicity at the Soufriere Hills Volcano. This was the first such activity in twenty five months.
